On this website you will find information about our facility and about the research focus of our group.
The Microarray Facility Nijmegen is one of the core facilities of the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre
(RUNMC) and the Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Science
(NCMLS). The facility is situated at the
department of Human Genetics.
The department also harbours a sequencing facility and a genotyping facility.
The facility is open for all users of the RUNMC as well as others for all aspects of the
arraying process. Skilled personnel will help you with experimental design, the production of arrays and data analysis.
Equipment is available for the preparation of target DNA, arraying, hybridisation and scanning, including the Affymetrix
Genechip system. Also software for data analysis is available (Bioinformatics group) as well as statistical support.
Our facility is focusing on multiple applications such as expression profiling, genomic copy number profiling (array CGH)
and high density SNP profiling. We apply these technologies to known and novel genomic cq transcriptomic anomalies in both
inherited and acquired (cancer) disorders. Our ultimate goals are 1) to improve the diagnoses and 2) to gain insight into
the pathological processes underlying these disorders.
